AT&T announced that it will start selling the 4G version of the Acer Iconia Tab A501 tablet on Sept. 18. AT&T described the A501 as “designed for both consumers and small businesses,” with a 1 GHz dual-core processor, the Nvidia Tegra 2.
Acer Iconia Tab runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb and features a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, dual-core Nvidia Tegra processor, and 1GB of RAM.
The device will be available at AT&T stores and online starting Sunday for $479.99. Those who sign up for a two-year contract with AT&T, which includes a $35, 3GB monthly data plan, can nab the Iconia Tab A501 for $329.99.
There is also a 250MB, $14.99 per month plan, as well as a $25 per month, 2GB option. Postpaid customers who go over their data on the 250MB plan will be charged $14.99 for another 250MB, and those who go over the 2GB limit will be charged $10 for every extra 1GB. Prepaid customers can opt to buy more data when they hit their limit.
