Sony Ericsson’s upcoming handset Hallon has been leaked. Though there has been no official confirmation about this leakage, possibilities are high to support this claim. This device is codenamed as Sony Ericsson Hallon and having a model number MT15i, which bears the XPERIA branding from Sony Ericsson. This is rumoured to be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in February. This handset resembles the PSP / PlayStation phone. However, it doesn’t have a sliding gamepad – in fact, there’s no hardware keyboard at all.

The Sony Ericsson Hallon is similar to Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 in design. When it comes to the matter of its technical aspects it is heard that it will be featuring a microUSB and 3.5mm headphone on the top of the device, unusual large lens of the front-facing camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It also has curved top like Sony Ericsson Vivaz. What makes it different from Vivaz is that this model locates the microUSB and headphone jacks above the screen instead of on the side of the device.

Also of note is the speculation that the PlayStation Phone, a.k.a. Zeus, Xperia Z1, and Xperia Play, will go by the model number R800: R800a in the US and R800i internationally. So, here the main doubt is that whether this phone will be a tough competitor for other smartphones? As we don’t have much information regarding Sony’s new phones, we can wait till February for the Mobile World Congress.
