Dell Announces New XPS Notebooks with High-Definition Entertainment

Dell has just announced the industry’s first Skype-certified XPS notebooks, with 2MP HD video streaming Webcams. This will offer you a crystal clear video chatting experience. The new notebooks come in 14-inch and 15-inch screen sizes.
Dell has opted for a 3D technology centric theme for the new laptops; as the variants are all 3D TV ready and come stock with Nvidia’s 3DTV Play software which allows 3D playback on 3D capable TVs in addition to 3D gaming support. Dell also offers Blu-ray drive option for the range of 3D capable laptops. The laptops feature JBL speakers with Waves MaxxAudio 3 audio processing technology. The 15-inch model even comes with 12 watt subwoofers and a total audio output of 22 watt.
They come with Intel Core i3 standard, Core i5 and i7 options, and have up to 8GB dual channel DDR3 memory. The notebooks offer 1066MHz memory standard with i3 and i5 processors, and 1333MHz standard with i7 processors. Both operate on Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate OSes.
They include Intel HM57 chipset, and option of Nvidia GeForce GT 420M with 1GB memory and GT 425M with 2GB memory. The notebooks include up to 500GB HDD with 7200RPM speed, and up to 256GB SSD. It also offers long battery life.
The connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000, Wi-Fi, WWAN and WiMax. They include three USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI 1.4 port, two audio jacks and one mic-in.
The starting prices of the 14 and 15-inch models are Rs. 44,900 and Rs. 45,900 respectively.
