The remarkable growth of Android platform over the past two years from its first launch in late 2008 has yet again been motivated by the launch of the latest version of Android – Gingerbread. On the quest of bringing pure “Google Experience” to the end users, Google and Samsung have continuously been working together on Nexus S which was released on Monday.
Besides it comes with a good collection of latest apps from Google, pre-installed, Google’s Nexus S will always be informed about the latest softwares and updates. Loaded with NFC hardware and with two cameras, fulfilling all the industrial aspects of Samsung’s design team Nexus S is given a very slick look. With multi-touch enabled improved keyboard, support for one-touch word selection, enhanced copy-paste options and extraordinary 4 inch wide Contour Display featuring curved glass screen claim to add to users’ comfort and delight. It can also act as a Wi-Fi hotspot for your internet enabled devices. VOIP dialing to SIP accounts and other phone numbers is now at your fingertips with the Internet Calling support in it.
Nexus S is powered by 1 gigahertz Hummingbird Processor accompanied by a large internal memory of 16 GB pushing it to the top of the list of fastest phones in the market till date. Nexus S is really smart in Near Field Communication. It can read objects with NFC chips installed inside them from near distances, however NFC information in Nexus S cannot be read by other NFC enabled devices. The NFC feature can be turned on or off as per the requirement.
Nexus S will be available at a price of $199 with two-year T-Mobile USA contract in the US. Customers can also choose to go for the unlocked version at a price of $529.
