Media speculation says we are close to having HTC’s dual-mode CDMA/GSM Android slider from Verizon Wireless which will give a setback to AT&T’s mobile business. The much hyped-up tech device may arrive sometime in 2011, adds a media report without confirming any dependable source. Anyway, it’s always nice to wait for a Verizon device, comments an enthusiastic Verizon user.
The speculated Android slider will definitely be a dual-mode CDMA/GSM device. A 1.2-GHz processor is very likely to become associated with the HTC device. The processor is expected to be a dual-core one. No other option will be available for the slider other than going duel-core. The new addition to the Verizon Wireless is, however, not going to have display size more than 4-inch. Such small size will not ask you to re-design your pocket length. Any standard pocket will be able to house the device – in all probability. You may even expect a lot from the new device. However, all these assumptions may change when the device actually lands.
Once the duel mode slider service becomes a reality, a lot of problems of carrying two handsets will be resolved. People were waiting for such a one-mode device since long. Images of the upcoming HTC/Verizon World Phone leaked by androidguys indicate the device will house a QWERTY keyboard almost similar to the Samsung Epic 4G. Android 2.2 is the best guess that the device may come with at launch.
