Sony PS3 Slim Gets A Whitewash, New High-Capacity Consoles To Be Launched
Some think white is classy. Some just love the way it goes with the rest of their home décor. Whatever your reason is, Sony has painted the whole PlayStation 3 Slim white and incorporated a 160 GB capacity.
On July 29th, Sony will start selling the new higher-capacity white version with matching white peripherals et al. Good news is it will be available at the same price at which we bought the 120 GB black model a few months ago. Needless to specify, the 120 GB model will fall out of circulation. Starting July 7th, Sony plans for it that one to be sold under an open price model in Japan.
Before you start thinking that things couldn’t get any better, we should also probably tell you that the current 250 GB PS3 Slim will be replaced by a 320 GB hard disk (yes, all black).
The PlayStation 3 Slim (both white and black) will be available for $342 (29,980 yen) and you can own the 320 GB charcoal black one at about $400 (34,980 yen). The only downside we notice as of now is that the new models are expected to see only Japanese homes in July. Crossing your fingers and fervently praying might help, but we aren’t going to vouch for it yet.
