Lately Motorola has pulled quite a few tricks from its magician’s hat. The CHARM was a pleasant surprise for all of us. But seems like wily Engadget got hold of some information that was supposed to be kept under wraps.
A tipster clued in Engadget on Motorola’s latest developments. Reportedly, the yet-to-be-launched WX445 will run Android 2.1. Sure, so do AT&T’s Backflip and Aria, Intercept from Sprint, and the whole menu from T-Mobile, you would say. So what’s so special about this newbie?
Well, Verizon, yes it will be launched by Verizon, has planned the WX445 to be the cheapest among the whole wide array of Android phones. The WX4445 features a camera with an unknown pixel delivery and an absence of flash, a touchscreen stretching somewhere around 2.5 to 3 inches and a lightweight 1170mAh.
It might possibly implement the MOTOBLUR technology. However, the leaked photos might be oddly misinterpreted in place of some cheap look-alike interface. The phone is slated for a release soon, to be offered free with a two-year contract. It remains to be seen if the only pulling force for this gadget, the Android factor, will work its magic on the audience.
