motorola charm Motorola Unleashes Prince CHARMing For T Mobile

In an age where time and tide wait for none, Motorola has turned on its CHARM. This one is the latest addition from Motorola’s labs for T-Mobile USA.

With the promise to launch “this summer”, Motorola has officially declared the CHARM, along with specification details. Running Google’s Android OS, the device is said to look a Blackberry but has a lot of unique traits to call its own.

The first in with the Motorola tag to integrate their trademark Motoblur software-the alternate user interface that stresses on social networking-with an Android 2.1, the CHARM features a full QWERTY keyboard, a touch screen and the remarkable BACKTRACK element to navigate using a touch-sensitive space on the phone’s back. Which is why, the 2.8-inch landscape front touchscreen probably won’t bother you anymore.

Other “wow” factors include a 600 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM. The CHARM also intrigues with a 3-megapixel, Kodak co-branded camera -with Kodak Perfect Touch Technology, to be precise- for better clarity in photographs. With Motorola’s CrystalTalk PLUS technology, users will also love the two microphones that allow for better voice quality and background noise filtering.

Enhancing the online experience are integrated WiFi, the Adobe Flash Lite enabled browsing and the MOTOBLUR aspect, which keeps you in cahoots with all your social circles including Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. It also lets you upload photos at one tap of your index finger. Our Mr. CHARMing here even improvises with resizable widgets on the homescreen for viewing status updates.

Additional information include a 1,170 mAh battery for up to 5 hours of 3G talk-time, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and a 2GB microSD card extendable up to 32GB. Different power mode options will be presented to control power consumption.

When released, the Motorola CHARM will be made available in golden bronze and cabernet. As for the economy concerns, the charming gadget will be put up for sale at $75 for a two-year contract and mail-in rebate or for $270 without any contract, according to T-Mobile sources.
