Couple of months after JTT released the new digital camera from the Lilliputians’ land; we have been granted the permission to become the cynosure of all those fishy eyes. This is particularly good news for this season when most swimmers take to the water and would definitely like to have a few fascinating souvenirs of their underwater voyage.
The world’s smallest camera CHOBi CAM has donned a new skin-suit that lets you take it upto 20 metres below the water surface. CHOBi CAM WP lets you to take 1280×960 pix snaps, record videos at 640×480 pix @30 fps and even record mono-audio: which I feel, won’t sound much different from when you put your head inside a bucket filled with water. The IP68 GoPro-style waterproof case effectively keeps out the swirling sand but thankfully does allow in the sunlight.
At the cam-and-case setup adding up to a miniscule 5.2cm x 6cm x 3.9cm, the CHOBi CAM WP comes with microSD/ microSDHC (compatible with the 16GB model) slot, an USB 2.0 port and is compatible with Windows XP/ Vista/ 7/ Mac OS 10.4. Right now, the price of this little mermaid is at a not-so-cheap US $140. So strap on the 23g beauty to your wrist before you dive in and sure as hell, do not let it get washed away.
