Q Acoustics’ Q-TV2 is a 2.1-channel speaker enhancement system for flat screen TVs. It consists of a vibration-canceled sub-woofer along with a downward-firing port. It also has a built-in amplification system and two side speakers, which can be angled in such a way to hug the sides of the TV. Once everything is assembled, the whole system should be practically invisible. Using VESA standard, fitting can be achieved, mounting spacers and brackets.
This model can be fitted on sets from 30-42in. Connection is via a headphone output or an optical digital output, a line output based on depending on which connection type. That is some sets will allow you to mute their internal speaker and control the Q-TV2 volume with the TV remote. Else you can control the Q-TV2 volume with its own handset. A socket for input from an iPod or similar device is provided. The TV needn’t be switched on to use this. Sound improvement is noticed and this is due to adding 50W of bass in the 50Hz-180Hz range and 25W from the four 1in 180Hz-20kHz BMR side drivers. Once fitted the system becomes a part of your flatscreen and thereby appearing practically invisible. The overall sound is rather bright and brash. For big bass boom there’s a slim vibration-free subwoofer that is hidden behind your display. It is powered by a 50W amp ,the sub using the 4 individual to fit into very thin package. Both the left and the right satellites offer swivel mounts so that you can adjust the angle of speakers too. There’s no tone control other than bass curve adjustment. Q Acoustics’ Q-TV2 is barely noticeable once it is attached to the rear of your TV. Only things visible will be the discreet, stylish left and right speakers that are situated on either side of your TV which can be adjusted to fit any 30″ – 42″ screen. To complete this outstanding 2.1 system, vibration-free sub-woofer is located behind the TV.
This is truly the first discreet, 2.1 HD sound upgrade done for Flatscreen televisions. Q-TV2 delivers awesome stereo sound with the real bass but with minimal visual impact. It’s very easy to install. Q Acoustics’ Q-TV2 can boast about the 100 watts of amplification and also driving eight advanced technology loudspeakers in stylish left and right stereo enclosures and an integrated vibration-free, ultra-slim subwoofer. You can definitely experience wonderful and dynamic movie soundtracks from your DVDs. The quality of noise free digital radio stations from your TV can be experienced. It also brings the computer games to life. The main idea behind the new Q-TV2 speaker system is to offer a unique way to improve your TV’s sound without cluttering your room with the extra boxes and wires.
