There was always been a printer, all-in-one that is a simple tool for getting all the documents onto and off paper. But there has always been a need for a machine that can reproduce your spreadsheets , files and photos. A printer as the Lexmark Interact S605 which shows us the news headlines from MSN.
All-in-one printers comes with touchscreens but there isn’t much big deal about this as Epson and HP have made all-in-one printers with touchscreens long back. By using an innovative firmware and taking a look at what the Apple has done with technology, extra value has been added by Lexmark to the touchscreen proposition. The touchscreens, which are available on two of the new range of Interact S605 and Professional all-in-one series from the Home Office range gives the units a very clean and advanced look. Power is the only physical button on each of the control panels. Lots of single-function buttons and other functions are devolved to the touchscreen which are ranged around it. When these functions are valid, the function controls are illuminated and thus the control panels looks very sparse.
The screens shows three main icons such as Scan , Copy and SmartSolutions when it ispowered up. The touchscreens are capacitative and therefore responsive to touch. Multitouch gestures such as a flick to move left and right from screen to another screen is supported. The Interact has got separate ink cartridges and a large print head. It is a well-specified all-in-one printer. Print quality is improved by Vizix and can be compared with text print of HP and Canon output and photos taken are more better. A disadvantage is that, automatic document feeder is not available on this machine. But speed of taking prints have been improved and also duplex print is much faster than on any similar Canon all-in-ones. A memory card socket takes MemoryStick, SD and xD cards. The PictBridge socket doubles for the USB drives. Wireless networking is included. The premium cost of the touchscreen is a real blot on the Interact’s else it is highly competent page since print costs are on a par with the machine’s main rivals.
The attraction of Lexmark’s new screens is the due to the support provided by its SmartSolutions tools. These are mainly mini printer apps that can be downloaded from Lexmark’s SmartSolutions site and can be added to the different functions available on any of the devices which support them. At present, there are 14 applications. Three different photo viewers are available. Example: to include a way to get to your Picasa folder and to display any albums you’ve uploaded . But to get the photos from your Pictures folders on a network-connected PC will be more useful. Most of the present SmartSolutions depends on RSS feeds. MSN feed is used by one of them to display headlines on screen. But BBC feed is absent. Tools which are currently available are written by Lexmark. There has been obviously some cost and time restraints. Due to the poularity gained by the touchscreens, they are included in many new netbooks, phones, and PDAs. And since Windows 7 directly supports this feature, this trend is going to continue.

I am employing a totally different browser than most people, referred to as Opera, so that is what might be causing it? I just wanted to make sure you know.
