htc hd2 300x225 Review HTC HD2

It is the world’s very first Windows Mobile-toting phone. The HTC HD2 was launced after the HTC Touch HD. It is equipped with a capacitive screen and it wraps the world’s largest mobile phone display. It also happens to be the first WinMo phone to use HTC’s Sense UI. This enables in bringing direct Twitter access and Facebook integration. It also masks the underlying operating system very well. Working on the Windows Mobile 6.5 it definitely utilizes the upgrades. However, HTC does its own thing on the major portion of the HD2.

The first thing to be noticed while using the HD2 is, without doubt, the size of the screen. It is featured at 4.3inches. The screen is seen to dominate the whole front face of the phone. It is seen to reach out close to the edges on both sides and thus, only leaving space for a speaker over the top end and few buttons at the bottom. It thereby gives it tablet-style look.

A microUSB slot is provided at the bottom of the phone for the purpose of charging and PC connection. This comes along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The multimedia aspects of the HTC HD2 have been upgraded. The battery looks seems small in size even though that is enough for the HD2. It holds in the SIM card and nothing else. The phone is also designed to be light weight at just 157g inclusive of the battery finding it to be one of the lightest phones of its kind.

The phone also provides a microUSB lead( which acts as both charger and also as the computer connector), an adaptor( to let users plug into the wall), a pair of headphones that also acts as a hands-free kit.

This phone is equipped with a weather widget. This will update the user’s location by a GPS and thereby tell them about the weather of the location where they are. Even though this feature existed in the previous phones, it now expands to a full screen. That is if the climate is cloudy, the whole screen would just fog up instead of only a small part. There are many more widgets provided on the screen. They include connections to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Users have an option to choose widgets they wish to use each day.

It is seen to feature the very best touchscreen on any Windows Mobile device. Everything responds to a touch as seen in an iPhone. This indicates that, together with the strong Snapdragon processor, the phone is seen to work magic under the touch, with hardly any sort of slow down. The only drawback seen is that the screen is too sensitive. It flicks anything which often results in opening up files or messages accidentally.

It is stylish and sleek phone which is also an asset that users can flaunt to all their friends. Overall the phone is a great choice for both business and personal users.
