Research In Motion (RIM) is a leader in wireless communications.  The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 will officially replace the original BlackBerry Bold 9000. It offers a sleeker design with twice the Flash memory and updated features. The most evident difference is in the smartphone’s size. It now measures 4.29” tall by 2.36” wide by 0.56” thick and weighs 4.3 ounces. However, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 replaces the trackball navigator seen in its predecessors with the touch-sensitive trackpad. The Bold 9700 is provided with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is equipped with a next-generation 624MHz processor and it also has double the Flash memory at 256MB. The camera has been upgraded from 2 MP to 3.2 MP. The smartphone has a quad-band GSM phone that has also integrated Wi-Fi with  Bluetooth ,UMA support, GPS/A-GPS and 3G support. RIM expects the BlackBerry Bold 9700 to be available worldwide starting this November, including AT&T andT-Mobile. AT&T said the smartphone will start coming in the weeks of November for $199.99 with a two-year contract . T-Mobile’s version is also seen to cost $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and be available in time for the holidays.
