He is the fastest man on the earth. Once he starts a sprint he will leave even the best of the best far behind and blitz till the finish line. He is none other than Usain St. Leo Bolt. He has won all the three sprint events in a single Olympics. Only 2 people in he world have performed this feat, himself and Carl Lewis in 1984. He holds the world and Olympic record for 100 m sprint as well as 200 m sprint. His nickname in the media is Lightning bolt.

To every professional sprinter his shoes are dearer to him than his wife. For the Berlin World Championships Puma made special sprint sneakers just for Usain bolt. For the Olympics Usain wore the gold version of the Puma Theseus II’s as a tribute to Michael Johnson. The shoes are named after the legendary founder and king of Athens. Theseus was a founder and a hero who had overcome foes that were identified with an archaic religious and social order. It has all the ideal spike characteristics for sprinting in 100m and 200m races. The have a new and improved upper technology. The upper consists of a combination of synthetic leather with croc emboss and overlays of smooth leather. It also includes deboss and perf details. It also carries the Olympic Runway badge.  Its midsole is 8-lane graphic on sockliner. Its outsole is a Pebax spike plate spanning the full length with heel rubber.  It weighs 7.2 oz.

The shoe was developed for athletes participating in the 2004 Olympics.  The leather upper is both soft and comfortable. The lace wrap system makes the shoes further user friendly. It has a new and modern spike plate.

Yaams – the fastest spike on the planet

The Yaams is a spike shoe custom made for Usain Bolt to run the Berlin World Championship.

t is one of the world’s lightest power sprint spikes and just weighs 149 grams. Its versatile features are provided by a carbon plate, which is transfused directly into the spike. This makes it light and powerful and provides the “engine” of the spike. The orange color of the shoe was chosen specifically to contrast with Berlin’s blue track.
