Converting Pdf file to Word can be done directly using Zamzar, an online file conversion service. Conversion of Pdf to Excel or JPG is a two step process which is also very easy.

Convert a PDF file to JPG – First method Open the website ZamZar.com, now browse for your Pdf file and choose PNG format as the format to which the Pdf file is to be converted in step 2. PNG is yet another picture format which is slowly replacing the JPG format. Most programs that work with JPG files are also compatible with PNG. The website automatically converts each page in your PDF document to PNG picture file. You can now simply open Microsoft Paint and choose File – Save As for saving the this PNG file to JPEG.

Convert your PDF to a Word document

Open the website Zamzar.com and now click on the Browse button next to Step 1 and select your file. By default in Step 2, the DOC format will be selected. You can also choose the option to convert your PDF to other file formats like HMTL, TXT, RTF, etc. Now type in your email address in Step 3 and click the Convert button in Step 4.

You will receive an email shortly which contains the download link to the converted file.

Convert a PDF file to Excel format

We should follow the steps above using Zamzar, and should choose TXT as the format that you want to convert. We cannot convert Pdf to Excel format straight away, so we require the intermediary TXT format. You should download the TXT file and save it on your computer. Now Open Microsoft Excel and select the File – Open and set the “Files of Type” option as “All Files”.

Now you will see the converted text file among the list of files. Select it and click Open. Now the Text Import Wizard will be opened up. If you just right-click the file and choose the “Open With Excel” option, all the text for each row will appear only in the first column and it will not be separated.

For Step 1 of Text Import Wizard, choose Delimited from the given two options.

Click on the Next button and now check off the Space check box as one of the delimiters. A vertical line separates each value, indicating that it is going to be in a separate column.

Click on Next and then hit the Finish button. You can now save this file as an Excel file by selecting File – Save As. This conversion method is not perfect and has several drawbacks. You will not be able to see any formulas in the converted one which might have been present in the original sheet.
